The Church Planter's Institute

Gilgal Christian Community has been a leader in Church Planting in the GTA for the past five and a half years. We are thankful for the honour of serving many pastors and their staff as they strive for excellence in both Church Planting and Pastoring.
Because we believe that God has called us to both assist in the planting of new churches AND to train Church Planters and their teams, we have now taken some bold and visionary new steps.
We are taking these steps because we believe that church planters need to spend their time and energy engaged with, trained by, and having fellowship with a network of church planters. Church planters also need specific and specialized training.
The Church Planter Institute.
We have therefore moved to create the Church Planter Institute, which has a two year program of training. There is a one year program designed to prepare church planters to effectively plant churches. This program is free.
We also have a one year certificate program to prepare pastors and Spiritual Care Workers. This program will begin in September. (Catalogues will be available shortly.) These courses are college level courses. There are 12 Modules of study and the cost for each module will be $100.
Those who complete both parts of this program will receive a two-year diploma.
Lay-Pastor Training
Once a month we will hold Modular Studies workshops intended to train church planting pastors how to lead and guide the flock. We will be starting at 1 am and will be enjoying worship, sharing, and teaching for Church Planters and their teams, as well as some updates on Church Planting. The Curriculum is the Pastoral Training Program.
This new church format is for those who are preparing to begin, or who have begun a church plant, and it is also for those wishing to complete their course for Spiritual Care Worker. AP Miguel Gallegos will be leading this new church for Church Planters.
Because of its nature, it is focussed on the vision of preparing people for practical ministry. At the Church Planter's Institute you will learn theology, bible, practical guides and instructions, and other essentials the way they are taught in a church and not from a seminary.
