The Faculty and Staff The Church Planter Institute consist of professors and teachers with extensive experience in biblical, ministerial, and theological education. All of them are also actively involved in other ministries and educational institutions. This ensures that ILC students can be confident the teaching they receive is both sound and edifying. Furthermore, much of the material offered at ILC is the same material used in the English program—resources our professors and teachers have also used in classes at prestigious seminaries.

BIO OF PASTOR J M BASDEN
Pastor Jason Basden is a devoted minister who was born and raised in the beautiful island of Nassau, Bahamas. His spiritual journey began in 1995 when he accepted Jesus Christ into his heart at the Pentecostal Church of Faith in God in the Bahamas. His dedication and service to the church led to his ordainment as a Minister, following his role as a deacon. In May 2011, Pastor Basden was ordained as a Pastor at Believer's Faith Ministries Int'l, marking a significant milestone in his ministry. He continued to expand his service by joining New Destiny Fellowship Center in 2012, where he took on the role of Director of Christian Education. In 2015, Pastor Basden migrated to Canada with his family, where he and his wife received confirmation from God to establish Divine Prayer and Healing Ministries Int'l in 2018. He serves as the Senior Pastor, alongside his wife, who serves as the Associate Pastor. Pastor Basden is married to Lovette Basden, hailing from the beautiful island of Abaco, Bahamas, and they are the proud parents of nine children, four of whom reside with them in Canada. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Pastor Basden is a lifelong learner and has obtained an Associate Degree from the Christian Life School of Theology in Nassau, Bahamas, as well as a Bachelor's and Master of Theology degree from the International Christian University in West Hills, California, USA. He is an active member of the Tony Evans Training Centre in Texas and a student of Christian Life Global School of Theology. Beyond his ministry, Pastor Basden is a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating several businesses in the Ontario, Canada area. His unwavering commitment to his faith marks his multifaceted life, his dedication to his family, and his passion for both ministry and entrepreneurship." 
Bio Pastors James and Cherrise Pinder have been married for nearly 29 years. High school sweethearts and lifelong best friends, they are the proud parents of five children. Their heart for ministry is rooted in a desire to see marriages flourish, families strengthened, and communities served with love and faith.
Their ministry journey began in 2002 in The Bahamas, where they served as Directors of the Congregational Care Ministry. During that time, James was ordained as a Deacon and appointed Assistant Director of the Finance Ministry. In 2008, after the premature birth of their twin daughters and the medical challenges that followed, they founded the NICU Parents’ Support Group at Princess Margaret Hospital to walk alongside families facing similar experiences. In 2016, James and Cherrise were appointed Directors of the Marriage Ministry, a role in which they faithfully served for four years. During this season, James was ordained as a Pastor and Cherrise as a Minister. Their passion for strengthening marriages and supporting families continued to grow, leading to new opportunities to serve. In 2020, they launched The Real Deal Unmasked, an online ministry that has reached thousands globally through TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, offering biblical teaching, mentorship, and relationship counseling. After relocating to Canada in 2021, they were ordained through Gilgal Christian Community in 2023. In 2025, they founded A Servant’s Heart Outreach Ministry, focused on marriages, families, and supporting individuals in crisis. Alongside ministry, James brings over 26 years of banking and financial leadership experience. Cherrise completed her Social Service Work studies in 2024 and now serves as a Registered Social Service Worker at a not-for-profit organization. She also serves as an Executive on the Hamilton Administrators of Volunteer Board. Together, Pastors James and Cherrise are experienced speakers, mentors, and counselors who remain committed to empowering couples, families, and leaders to live with faith, purpose, and resilience.re to edit. |
BIO OF PASTOR LOVETTE BASDEN
Pastor Lovette Basden is a devoted minister of the Gospel, born on the beautiful island of Nassau and raised in the yachting paradise of Abaco, Bahamas. Her spiritual journey began in 1998, when she actively served as a liturgical dancer and performed in biblical plays with her family at Holy Saviours in Abaco. Known for her academic excellence, Lovette was recognized multiple times as one of the Bahamas’ top students, earning several Honourable Student Awards. She also served as President of the Anchor Club, a youth leadership and community service organization in the Bahamas. She pursued higher education at the Institute of Business and Commerce, earning her Paralegal Certification, and later studied Criminology at the College of the Bahamas. At the age of 23, Lovette surrendered her life to Jesus Christ at Believers Faith Ministries in the Bahamas. She later served at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, where she led the Outreach Ministry, providing warm, free breakfasts to the less fortunate each week alongside her family. Her dedication to God’s work led to her appointment in 2012 as a Liturgical Instructor at New Destiny Fellowship Center. In 2015, Pastor Basden migrated to Canada with her family. In 2018, she and her husband, Jason Basden, also from Nassau, received confirmation from God to establish Divine Prayer and Healing Ministries International, where she serves faithfully as Associate Pastor alongside her husband, the Senior Pastor. They are proud parents of nine children, with four currently residing with them in Canada. A lifelong learner, Pastor Basden holds a Paralegal Diploma with Honours from Stratford Career Institute in Montreal, Quebec, is a licensed Real Estate Agent in Ontario, and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance at Athabasca University in Alberta, Canada. She is the author of Travailing Woman Journal and President of Travailing Woman of Joy, a private women’s club. In 2020, she became a member of Gilgal Christian Community, where she was ordained as a pastor. Today, Pastor Basden is a dynamic faith leader and accomplished entrepreneur whose life embodies devotion to God, family, and purpose.
