COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course offers a general overview of church planting. It addresses common misconceptions that hinder the implementation and development of new churches. It explores the need, cause, and purposes of planting new congregations. The course also includes a biblical-theological foundation for planting healthy churches, based on the Matthean imperative, "Go and make disciples of all nations," and Luke’s vision of the Kingdom of God. It provides theological reflection on the relevance and urgency of church planting today as a means of fulfilling the Great Commission and the Missio Dei through the proclamation of the Gospel.
